Temperature Converter

Convert all three major temperature scales in one place. Unlike ordinary unit factors, temperature scales require both multiplication and an offset.

How this tool works

The tool converts the input to Celsius as an intermediate value, then applies the selected output scale. This avoids treating temperatures as simple ratios.

When it is useful

Use it for weather, cooking, laboratory work, engineering specifications and comparing international temperature guidance.

Accuracy and unit standards

Kelvin cannot physically fall below absolute zero (0 K, −273.15 °C). The calculator flags a negative-Kelvin result rather than silently presenting it as physically meaningful.
